Homeowners do not always know which heating and cooling system is right for their home. They need an experienced professional who can listen, understand their concerns, explain their options clearly, and help them make a confident decision.

At Absolute Air Services, we’re looking for a motivated Outside Sales Representative / HVAC Comfort Advisor to meet with homeowners and recommend heating, cooling, and indoor air quality solutions tailored to their comfort needs, home, and budget.

You’ll work with qualified, company-generated opportunities and receive the training, resources, and operational support needed to succeed. This is an opportunity for a driven sales professional to build trust with customers, deliver an outstanding in-home experience, and earn based on performance without relying on high-pressure sales tactics.

What You’ll Do

• Meet with homeowners to assess their heating, cooling, and indoor air quality needs.
• Perform in-home evaluations and recommend appropriate HVAC replacement and upgrade options.
• Present equipment choices, financing options, warranties, maintenance plans, and available promotions.
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals using company sales software.
• Educate customers on system efficiency, comfort, operating costs, and available solutions.
• Follow up consistently with customers throughout the decision-making process.
• Maintain accurate sales activity, customer notes, and opportunity updates within the CRM.
• Coordinate with installation, service, dispatch, and office teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, financing programs, and industry trends.
• Achieve individual sales and revenue goals while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous in-home sales, HVAC sales, home improvement sales, or outside sales experience preferred.
• Strong consultative selling, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• A customer-first approach with the ability to recommend solutions without using high-pressure tactics.
• Self-motivation, competitiveness, and a strong desire to achieve performance goals.
• Ability to overcome objections and confidently ask for the sale.
• Excellent verbal communication, listening, and follow-up skills.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable using tablets, CRM platforms, and sales software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on customer appointment availability.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to commute to the Portland, CT location and travel throughout the assigned service area.
