Konikoff Dental Associates Shore Drive is looking for a Dental Hygiene Assistant in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to join our clinical team. Position Overview:

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified)
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (Required)
• 1 year or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• X-Ray certification
• CPR certification (Preferred but can be obtained upon hiring)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
