RN - PCU

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital (LOC00061)

Registered Nurse (RN)

This position involves caring for patients in a telemetry unit and requires direct contact with COVID-19 patients. The role includes providing nursing care to a variety of patients including those with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Stroke, Sepsis, Cardiac Dysrhythmias, Pneumonia, and Observation status patients. The Registered Nurse will also focus on pain management and any surging inpatients as necessary.

Shift Information

Shift: 12 hours, 7 PM - 7 AM

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Floating Expectations: First to float if census drops to Medical, Surgical, Observation Unit

Qualifications

EPIC experience is required

BLS certification (must be AHA)

ACLS certification

NIHSS certification

Minimum of 1 year experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry

Unit Information

Telemetry Unit: 36 beds

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4 on days, 1:5 on nights

Floor Orientation: 3 days

Scrubs

Navy blue pants and solid navy blue or solid white tops. Jackets must be solid navy blue or solid white. Long sleeve shirts under scrubs must be navy or white.
