• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $61.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30; weekend coverage every other weekend (may change based on need)

Job Summary

This is a 13–26 week travel nursing contract opportunity in Cardiac Telemetry. The role requires floating to like units or to other facilities depending on need. The patient population consists of inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Common cardiovascular diagnoses include but are not limited to sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease. In addition, the patient population may include cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation.

Key Responsibilities

• Care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
• Manage patients with common cardiovascular diagnoses including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
• Administer vasoactive drugs
• Provide antiarrhythmic drug therapy
• Administer thrombolytic therapy
• Perform defibrillation/cardioversion
• Assist with thoracentesis
• Monitor cardiac telemetry
• Perform EKG
• Perform non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Care for cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
• Float to like units or to other facilities depending on need

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience
• Proficiency in vasoactive drug administration
• Proficiency in antiarrhythmic drug therapy
• Proficiency in thrombolytic therapy
• Proficiency in defibrillation/cardioversion
• Proficiency in thoracentesis assistance
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency in EKG
• Proficiency in non-invasive blood pressure monitoring

Education Requirements

• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• SC RN License required

Required Experience

• 2 years of experience in field requested; first-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Float required to like units or to other facilities depending on need
• Weekend coverage every other weekend; schedule may change based on need
