Research Associate 1 -Ophthalmology - Temporary

Overview Department of Ophthalmology, University of Miami – Miami, FL Position: Temporary Research Associate1 – Full‑time, Temporary Responsibilities Understand and interpret research protocols and procedures. Participate in the publication of significant results. Maintain an overview of relevant research findings. Ensure all research is conducted according to good research practice. Keep abreast of current publications on methods, techniques, and developments within the area of research. Collect, prepare, analyze, dissect, and evaluate specimens or tissue cultures. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment. Perform a variety of routine assays, tests, and studies. Perform calculations to complete research test results, collect data, and perform statistical analysis of laboratory results. Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required. No previous experience required. Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
