Payroll Administrator

Our client, a growing and established organization in Clearwater, FL, is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has strong expertise processing payroll across multiple states.

This position is fully in-office during the temporary assignment. Upon successful conversion to a permanent employee, candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the company's hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume, multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Manage payroll transactions including new hires, terminations, wage adjustments, garnishments, deductions, and benefit changes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Audit payroll data and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain payroll records and support payroll reporting requirements.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with year-end processing, W-2 preparation, and payroll reconciliations.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll administration experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience is required.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll best practices.
• Experience handling payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
