Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist $50,000 - $60,000 per year | Clearwater, FL | On-site | Permanent About the role We are partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing high-volume transactions, and collaborating across departments to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments. Responsibilities Process high-volume vendor invoices with a high degree of accuracy Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies Prepare weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers Maintain vendor records, payment terms, and tax documentation Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations Respond to vendor inquiries and build positive working relationships Support internal and external audit requests Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiencies Qualifications Full-cycle accounts payable experience Experience working within an ERP system Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent organizational and communication abilities Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Manufacturing or distribution industry experience preferred Why join us?
