Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Senior Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, resolving payment issues, and maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts.
• Contact customers by phone and email regarding past-due invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and account issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and apply payments accurately.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting departments to resolve collection issues.
• Prepare aging reports and provide regular updates on collection status.
• Process credit card payments and ACH transactions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of accounts receivable and commercial collections experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and basic formulas.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
