Direct Support Professional

Job Title

Provide opportunities for community integration.

Document all day-to-day activities and ensure required documentation is completed.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with individuals, families, coworkers, and outside agencies

Assist clients in maintaining a clean home

Ensure individuals receive their medication and document accurately

Assist individuals with meal preparation

Take individuals to their doctor appointments and ensure documentation by providers is completed.

Work to implement the goals of the individuals.

Engage with ongoing training requirements, at least 24 hours of annual training required.

Exhibit a positive attitude

Be flexible and a team player

Promote independence and an everyday life

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Valid driver's license

Clean driving record

Reliable transportation

CPR/AED/First Aid certification (onsite training & certification provided during orientation)

Medication Administration (onsite training & certification provided during orientation)

Current Physical and TB test within one year

Ability to pass a background check, and, if applicable, FBI clearance.

Ability to stand for long periods

Ability to handle stressful situations

Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds

Ability to complete one-person transfers with a wheelchair

Ability to provide personal care

Compensation: $17.00 - $17.00 per hour
