Elastic Cloud Engineer
Client is seeking an Elastic Cloud Engineer to join the team to help design, implement, and manage the elastic cluster supporting global search and match applications. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability and efficient performance of elastic clusters while adhering to Randstad data residency, and security standards. The candidate must be inquisitive, detail oriented, and highly motivated for delivering high quality solutions. They must possess excellent communications skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, changing, high pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage an elastic cluster on Elastic Cloud through Google Cloud Platform to meet global SAM requirements
- Ensure high performance and scalability of the cluster by continuously monitoring its performance and making any necessary updates or modifications
- Collaborate with other teams, such as Security and DevOps, to ensure that all relevant security and privacy requirements are met
- Monitor the cluster for any potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent downtime or performance degradation
- Work with the SAM team to develop and implement best practices for managing the elastic cluster on Elastic Cloud
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the field, and recommend new tools and technologies that could improve the performance or scalability of the cluster
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience working with Elasticsearch stack
- At least 2 years of experience working with Elastic Cloud and Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of security and privacy requirements for cloud-based platforms
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
