CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a mixed ICU environment. The role focuses primarily on cardiovascular intensive care but requires adaptability to manage overflow patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor and manage complex cardiovascular patients, including those on ECMO and ventilators.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in CVICU.
• Active RN license valid in Maryland or multi-state compact state.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CALS.
• 16-hour Maryland Approved Trauma Certification required by week 27.
