Details 32-bed Surgical ACE unit serving an adult/older adult population Patient ratio of 1:5 Cares for trauma patients requiring Heparin drips and other acute medications as ordered Uses specialty equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment EPIC EMR system used Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week No on-call requirements Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month Block scheduling is not typically approved Requirements Active RN license (GA or Compact) required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience required with completed skills checklist Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital settings required Skilled Nursing/Rehab experience and prior NICHE training are a plus EPIC EMR experience required Additional Information Provide care for trauma and acute medical/surgical patients including administration of Heparin drips and other ordered medications Located at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases Candidates must have proven success managing critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma environments No RTO permitted during the assignment Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates Badge-appropriate photo required as part of the candidate profile American Traveler Job ID P-747145.
