Details Work in the Pulmonary Thoracic Intermediate Care/Step Down unit of a hospital Care for intermediate medical patients including high-risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery cases Patient population includes those on RA to BIPAP or Optiflow respiratory support 12-hour night shifts, schedule varies 7P-7A 3 shifts per week No on-call responsibilities Requirements Active GA or compact RN license Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification preferred Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the specialty Additional Information Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered Former permanent staff returning as non-local travelers must have a 2-year break in service RTO must be requested upfront prior to offer and cannot be requested afterward American Traveler Job ID P-746190.
