Responsibilities

• Perform ordered diagnostic X-ray exams across the assigned caseload
• Position patients and operate radiographic equipment, adjusting technique and collimation for each study
• Apply radiation-safety practices, including exposure optimization and ALARA principles
• Critique images for positioning and exposure quality, minimizing repeat exposures, and provide completed studies to radiologists

Travel X-Ray Tech Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent X-Ray Tech experience.
• Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by Oklahoma and national regulatory bodies.

OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center brings imaging, interventional radiology, surgery, cardiac procedures, respiratory care, and rehabilitation together on its Oklahoma City medical campus. Services include 32 operating rooms, around-the-clock cardiac and electrophysiology services, adult ECMO, nearby Stephenson Cancer Center, and therapy from hospitalization through outpatient care.

• Imaging clinicians work with CT, 1.5T and 3T MRI, PET/CT, SPECT/CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, X-ray, and MRI-ultrasound fusion biopsy
• Interventional radiology uses image guidance for minimally invasive vascular and organ-based treatments
• Surgical technologists and perioperative teams work across 32 operating rooms in the North Tower
• Cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology services are available 24/7
• Respiratory therapists manage complex ventilator care and adult ECMO
• Nearby Stephenson Cancer Center adds radiation therapy and cancer imaging, while OU Health rehabilitation provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy from ICU admission through outpatient care
