Job Post Summary
A leadership role responsible for overseeing survey department operations, managing teams, coordinating project schedules, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of survey projects. This position requires strong organizational, leadership, and technical expertise in land surveying practices and tools.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the survey department
Coordinate and schedule field crews and office staff
Manage project workloads, timelines, and staffing requirements
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Maintain quality control and adherence to internal standards
Assist in project planning, proposals, and scope development
Support field teams with logistics, equipment, and staffing coordination
Drive process improvements in survey workflows and technology
Qualifications and Certifications
Experience in land surveying operations, coordination, or project management
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Knowledge of boundary, topographic, construction staking, and ALTA surveys
Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Trimble preferred
Professional Land Surveyor certification is a plus but not mandatory
