Location Raynham, Massachusetts, or New Brunswick, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities Be compliant with applicable laws and regulations and follow guidelines in the J&J Credo. Maintain Operational Excellence Lead accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process area and ensure timely closing and execution of financial periods as per the closing calendar. Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of actuals reported within the process/entity scope. Drive deep expertise and ensure the team is knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements. Lead the accounting team (up to 25 associates) and support auditors and legal authorities. Ensure adherence, monitor, remediate and align compliance responsibilities with stakeholders. Manage, mitigate and escape risks on a timely basis. Ensure strong internal controls are in place to achieve adequate audit ratings. Talent Management – Attract, develop and retain a highly competent, high‑performing, motivated and diverse Credo‑based team. Develop succession plans and support career development. Ensure effective performance management within the team. Lead accounting team of associates/managers. Trusted Business Partner – Champion and influence strategy & solutions demonstrating strong business acumen. Internally recruit, mentor, and drive individual process SMEs. Maintain cross‑sector, cross‑region and cross‑process alignment and documentation. Act as Operational Key Contact (OKC) for a defined region & sector with BUF and CFMs, answering queries, coordinating with SMEs/analysts and resolving issues. Create Game‑Changing Innovation – Champion continuous improvement mindset throughout the team, identifying business and efficiency opportunities. Passion to lead operational change for the greater good of the global organization. Qualifications Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline. Experience: Minimum 10 years professional experience and minimum 5 years in a manager role in a Shared Service or BPO organization. Experience managing large teams (30+ headcount), leading continuous improvement or process transformation, experience in a Global Account-to-Report function, and experience in multiple migration of work. Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with employees at all levels, ability to frame clear and concise communication, strategic mindset, organizational and prioritization skills, ability to handle ambiguity, rapid change, embrace new technologies. Preferred Credentials: CPA, CMA, MBA or other financial certification, solid US GAAP accounting knowledge, digital/intelligent automation capabilities. Pay and Benefits Anticipated base pay range: $122,000 – $245,000 USD annually. Additional benefits: Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year (48 for Colorado, 56 for Washington) Holiday pay, including floating holidays – 13 days per calendar year Work, personal and family time – up to 40 hours per calendar year Parental leave – 480 hours within one year of birth/adoption/foster care Bereavement leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member, 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year Caregiver leave – 80 hours in a 52‑week rolling period Volunteer leave – 32 hours per calendar year Military spouse time‑off – 80 hours per calendar year Eligible for the company’s consolidated retirement plan (401(k)). Open to up to 10‑20% international travel and flexible shifts to align with global responsibilities (Americas/EMEA/Asia). Fluent in English; other language skills desirable.
