About Seltz

Seltz is an AI-native web search infrastructure company. We own the full stack, our own crawler, indexer, and retrieval layer, and we return complete documents, not snippets, to AI agents and workflows at low latency. We sell to teams building agents, RAG systems, and AI products that need fresh, structured web and news data through an API, and we ship BYOC and on-prem deployments for customers with security requirements. We are a small, deeply technical team, and we are building the GTM engine now.

The Role

We publish technical content that engineers actually read, and we turn product features into things people can see and try. Today that work runs through one person. We want a fractional content marketer to own the production side of it: take a shipped feature and turn it into a demo, a blog post, and a set of LinkedIn posts, run our existing blog pipeline end to end, and manage an outside animation vendor to bring the harder concepts to life.

This is a hands-on production role, not a strategy seat. Positioning and direction are already set. We need someone who can take a rough feature or a raw benchmark and return finished, publishable work with minimal hand-holding.

You will work directly with our Head of Revenue on content direction, our CEO on technical accuracy and voice, and our engineering and design team on demos, visuals, and benchmarks.

What You'll Do

Turn features into demos and social. When we ship something, you turn it into a short, credible demo and a set of LinkedIn posts in two voices: a founder byline voice and a company voice. You make a feature legible to a technical buyer without marketing gloss.

Write technical content through our pipeline. We have a working blog pipeline (topic, research, brief, draft, review, publish) built around a Claude project trained on our product and voice. You use it to produce technical deep dives: how retrieval works at scale, full-document versus snippet tradeoffs, real query comparisons against competitors, integration walkthroughs. You can interview an engineer, understand the answer, and explain it clearly to other engineers. Manage the animation vendor. Some concepts land better as motion. You brief, direct, and manage an external animation vendor: write the spec, review cuts, and keep the output on brand and on schedule.

Own distribution basics. SEO metadata, launch asset packages (visual specs for our designer, LinkedIn variants, SEO), and repurposing long-form into short-form. You track what performs and feed it back into what we write next.

What We're Looking For

A portfolio of genuinely technical content for a developer, infrastructure, or AI/ML audience. Not brand blogs. Content an engineer would finish reading.

Fluency with the domain: APIs, LLMs, agents, RAG, and retrieval, with enough technical literacy to get details right and push back when a claim is wrong.

Range across formats: long-form blog, LinkedIn, demo scripts, and briefs for designers and animators.

Experience directing external creative vendors (animation, video, or design).

Self-directed and artifact-first. You return finished, ready-to-ship work, not outlines and options.

Precise and honest. We hold a strict claim discipline: no unverifiable superlatives, no invented benchmarks, conservative and auditable claims only. You should find that natural, not limiting.

Nice to Have

You have shipped content for a search, data, or dev-tools company.

You have run an AI-assisted content workflow before.

You can read a benchmark and turn it into a story without misrepresenting it.

How We Work

Fractional and remote. 10 to 20 hours per week, flexible.

$65-$120 per hour depending on experience, month to month.

Low-meeting. We react to finished work over calls. Expect async reviews and a short weekly sync.
