The  Data Systems Administrator is essential to the agency’s data environment, focusing on the integrity, configuration, and continuous optimization of all platforms. By managing the underlying system architecture, this role ensures that the technical infrastructure is robust enough to support complex organizational needs and adapts to changing requirements. The Administrator bridges the gap between technology and daily practice, transforming system capabilities into streamlined, compliant processes that support data entry and reporting.

Beyond technical oversight, this position supports the workforce and operational excellence. The Administrator is responsible for guiding intuitive workflows and maintaining comprehensive documentation on system complexities to support teams. Through proactive training and dedicated support, they ensure that staff members are not only proficient in using the tools but are also aligned with quality data standards. This approach ensures that the agency’s data remains valid, and secure.

Knowledge and Experience Required

·         1–2 years of experience with a healthcare-related field, with a solid grasp of data collection.

·         Certification or equivalency in systems administration or database management a plus, but not required

·         Experience managing, configuring, and maintaining complex enterprise and database systems.

·         Proven ability to build and validate systems, including custom forms, conditional logic, and process workflows.

·         Strong understanding of system capacities to ensure data integrity through thorough testing and validation.

·         Direct experience working within Electronic Health Record systems and an understanding of how technical data points impact operations.

·         Ensure compliance of HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards through configurations that meet legal and internal audit requirements.

·         A proactive approach to troubleshooting “unusual” system issues and identifying trends in staff usage that require intervention.

·         Strong interpersonal skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff and persuade stakeholders on workflow improvements.

·         Experience in staff development, with the ability to lead training sessions that translate complex tasks into manageable steps.
