Salary: Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits Tax Accountant – Public Accounting Practice Insite US is partnering with a reputable and growing public accounting firm in New Jersey that is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its expanding tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of tax engagements and develop a long‑term career within public practice. Responsibilities Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations. Assist with tax compliance and preparation work across a diverse client portfolio. Support senior staff with tax planning and advisory engagements. Conduct basic tax research and assist with resolving client queries. Gather and organize financial data to ensure accurate and timely filings. Communicate with clients to request information and clarify documentation. Assist with responding to tax notices where required. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable deadlines and firm standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in accounting or tax (public accounting experience preferred but not essential). CPA or EA preferred, or willingness to pursue qualification. Strong interest in tax and public accounting. Good understanding of basic accounting and tax principles. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Good communication and organisational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/tax software is an advantage.
