We want a Pulmonary Care Nurse to join our team at Northern Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing. Experience is not required; we provide training. Pulmonary Care Nurse Responsibilities Plan, implement, and assess treatment plans for patients with respiratory illnesses Conduct patient interviews and assessments Monitor patients' progress toward goals Carry out diagnostic testing procedures Assist and collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians and respiratory therapists) Manage and administer medications Educate patients and their families on medications and breathing treatments Administer treatments including oxygen therapy, manual CPT, breathing exercises, etc. Advise patients on lifestyle changes that can alleviate symptoms Educate patients on prevention of respiratory illnesses Assessment and management of ventilator and tracheostomy patients Qualifications Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program Must be a licensed RN Other Duties This job description may not cover all duties, responsibilities, or activities required for this position, and they may change at any time without notice.
