Corporate Recruiter

This role centralizes ownership of talent acquisition for Sales, Operations, and corporate functions that support our LTL transportation business. We need a recruiter who converts hiring strategy into measurable hiring velocity, builds durable talent pipelines, and enforces disciplined recruiting systems so the business can scale without sacrificing quality.You will solve time-to-fill constraints, inconsistent candidate experience, and limited market intelligence for Sales and LTL roles. Success is measured by reduced time-to-fill, higher offer-acceptance rates, predictable pipelines for quota-bearing roles, and clean ATS data that enables strategic workforce decisions.This is a mission-critical, execution-first role: you will own requisitions end-to-end, influence hiring outcomes across functions, and improve the systems that make hiring repeatable and measurable.What you’ll do1. Own full-cycle recruitingManage intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding for assigned roles with clear SLAs.Drive hiring decisions by aligning role requirements, performance expectations, and timelines with hiring managers.Deliver consistent candidate experience and timely communication across the funnel.2. Build and maintain talent pipelinesProactively source and engage Sales and LTL talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and targeted outreach.Create and sustain pipelines for account executives, sales leadership, and operational support roles.Translate market signals into actionable hiring plans and prioritized pipelines.3. Operate recruiting systems and dataOwn requisitions and candidate workflows in Workday Recruiting; ensure data integrity and compliance.Track and report recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, hiring volume) to inform decisions.Use ATS data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.4. Partner with business leadersAdvise hiring managers on interview design, selection criteria, and compensation benchmarking.Coordinate cross-functional interview panels and manage feedback loops to accelerate decisions.Influence workforce planning through market insights and hiring cadence recommendations.5. Improve compliance and processEnsure recruiting activities meet employment law and internal policy requirements.Identify and implement workflow, tool, and experience improvements that increase hiring quality and speed.Support employer branding and recruitment initiatives as needed.What you bringExperience: 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.Systems: Hands-on experience with Workday Recruiting; strong proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.Functional expertise: Proven success recruiting Sales roles and LTL/transportation positions.Execution skills: Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities with high attention to detail.Leadership: Demonstrated stakeholder management and ability to influence hiring managers.Preferred: Experience in transportation, logistics, or LTL environments; hiring quota-carrying sales roles; familiarity with recruiting metrics and data-driven hiring; experience supporting multi-state or high-growth organizations.Key competencies: Results-driven, execution-focused, professional judgment, collaborative, comfortable in a fast-paced environment.Location requirement: Ability to work on-site in Downers Grove, IL.How you operateYou think in systems, not tasks.You own outcomes, not activity.You move quickly without creating chaos.You challenge assumptions constructively and surface trade-offs.You communicate clearly, decisively, and with appropriate urgency.You prioritize candidate and hiring-manager experience while driving for measurable results.About RoadrunnerWe’re not just moving freight; we’re reimagining long-haul shipping.
