Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS

Must-Have:
- Competency with cardiac medications and knowledge of titration and application of these medications.
- Competency in telemetry and knowledge of heart rhythms.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to recognize changes in patient status and intervene.
- Knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke and ability to recognize changes in patient status and intervene.
- Strong communication skills.

Description:
The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
Judgments are made based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills.
The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff.
The RN must demonstrate a commitment to reporting for all assigned shifts and being on time.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with healthcare team members.
