General Surgeon Opportunity - Brattleboro, Vermont Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible General Surgeon to join Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (BMH) in Brattleboro, VT — delivering comprehensive surgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. Position Details

• Comprehensive surgical care including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, endoscopy, appendectomy, small bowel obstruction management, colorectal surgery, and skin and soft tissue procedures
• Evaluation and management of acute and chronic wounds within the Wound Clinic's multidisciplinary model
• Collaborative care with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, physician assistants, perioperative and peri-anesthesia teams, ED clinicians, and hospitalists
• Patient and family education regarding procedures and care plans
• Surgical perspective for palliative care, pain management, and end-of-life support
• Participation in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development
• Full-time | Hours generally 8:00‚Äì5:00
Qualifications
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of a General Surgery residency program
• Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery
• Active and unrestricted Vermont state medical license
• Valid Vermont DEA license
• CPR certification for healthcare providers
• Proficiency in surgical techniques including familiarity with the latest advancements
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety
Compensation
• $162,240 ‚Äì $226,699 annually
• Additional monetary incentives based on productivity metrics
