Progressive Care Nurse

Schedule
- Shift: Nights
- Options: 36- or 48-hour blocks

Assignment Details
- Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics with cardiovascular diagnoses

Requirements
- License: NM/Compact licensing (pending accepted)
- Certifications:
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (required/preferred)
- NIHSS (preferred)
- CPI (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum of one year in Cardiovascular / PCU/Telemetry
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- Skills:
- Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia recognition
- Care following cardiac catheterization and surgery
- Management of cardiac drips (no titration noted)
- Non-invasive airway support
- IV care and phlebotomy
- Chest tube and feeding tube management
- Blood product administration

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients experiencing cardiovascular conditions.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Document patient progress and changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families on post-procedural care and health management.
- Provide support and respond to urgent patient needs as required.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: Approximately 24 hours
- RTO: Must be listed at time of submittal; up to 4 days auto-approved.
- Orientation modules to be completed onsite during orientation.
