Qualifications:

• Current Nevada Special Education Teaching License (required)
• Experience supporting children with Autism and high-needs populations preferred
• Commitment to adapting and innovating in a high-needs setting
• Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit

Responsibilities:

• Lead a self-contained classroom (elementary or middle school) with a capped caseload of 13 students, hosting up to 8–10 students at a time
• Develop and deliver specialized lesson plans tailored to each student’s IEP
• Partner closely with paraprofessionals and aides in daily classroom activities
• Support students’ participation in specials alongside their assigned aides
• Create a nurturing, structured environment that fosters independence and skill-building
