Computed Tomography Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days

The Computed Tomography Technologist provides health care services by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis and treatment. They perform radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. The technologist exercises professional judgment in executing services and ensures compliance with medical ethics while providing appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures and collaborate with patients' clinical histories to assure proper documentation.
• Prepare patients for procedures, provide instructions to minimize anxiety, and gain cooperation.
• Select and operate radiography equipment to achieve desired results while positioning patients comfortably.
• Determine exposure factors to minimize radiation exposure for patients and others.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded.
• Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures, verifying informed consent.
• Maintain universal precautions and provide education to patients about procedures.
• Manage physical and emotional needs of patients during examinations and perform venipunctures as required.
• Support fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures as needed.
• Maintain archival storage of digitized data and ensure quality imaging standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• OBMI and ARRT registered CT technologist.
• Current BLS certification; CRASE training preferred.
