Details Work in the Main Operating Room of a Level I academic trauma center with 21 OR suites Surgical specialties covered include Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics Nursing team consists of 75% RNs and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists RNs are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM On-call required, up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks Weekend work required, up to one shift every 4 weeks Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and between like units or sister facilities 13-week assignment length Uses EPIC EMR Requirements Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required BLS certification required (AHA only) Radiation badge required, provided by agency 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred Scrub experience strongly preferred Level I trauma center experience preferred Driver's license required for consideration Social Security number required for consideration Additional Information Work within a Magnet-designated, nurse-driven department featuring cutting-edge surgical technology Facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 staffed beds Scrubs are provided by the facility Required to work at least one holiday period, either Christmas (Dec. 24-26) or New Year's (Dec. 31-Jan. 1) Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be prioritized, as non-local candidates are given preference During hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams American Traveler Job ID P-745760.
