General Ledger Accountant Jonathan's Place is accepting applications for a General Ledger Accountant in our Accounting Department. This position is responsible for accounting, financial reporting and analysis for government grants, including cost reimbursement and/or fee for service contracts. Position Summary: The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and analysis. Grant Management Accounts Receivable Month‑End Processing Other Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following: Accounting – Demonstrates knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Works with a high degree of accuracy. Grant Management – Demonstrates familiarity with 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance for Federal Awards and Uniform Grant Management Standards (UGMS). Planning and Organization – Integrates changes smoothly. Plans for additional resources. Prioritizes and plans work activities. Sets goals and objectives. Uses time efficiently. Works in an organized manner. Problem Solving and Initiative – Identifies and communicates problems, together with proposed solutions, in a timely manner. Resolves problems in early stages. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Works well in group problem solving situations. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related field. 3-5 years of recent and relevant work experience. Nonprofit accounting experience a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Language Ability: Ability to speak with self-confidence. Ability to produce professional correspondence and presentations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to identify and plan long‑ and short‑term goals. Computer Skills: Demonstrate knowledge of computer programs and databases including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with Financial Edge NXT a plus. Certificates and Licenses: Must maintain a current driver's license and favorable driving record as condition of employment. Must provide proof of current vehicle insurance. Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
