Machine Operator

Follow written instructions to determine production requirements and part specifications as displayed by work standard sheets. Manually loads blanks into machine and place parts into inventory baskets. Inspects components and assemblies visually for quality defects including scrap marks, rust, burrs, lamination, etc. Performs first piece inspection of set-up parts as required by Quality Inspection Instructions and/or as directed by supervisor. Records and reports production, quality and inventory information accurately. Labels and/or tags parts and baskets accurately. Operates Progressive or Transfer Press. Troubleshoots and diagnose production run issues. Understand that punctual and regular attendance is required. Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor Required Skills Candidates who are most successful in this role have the following: Basic math, reading and writing skills. The ability to work with others. The ability to stay focused on a task. Mechanical aptitude to problem solve and diagnose production challenges. Required Experience Preferred experience to be a successful team member: 2 or more years experience operating large production related equipment. Working in a manufacturing setting.
