Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in the Heart of Texas Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine your next career move giving voice to purpose quite literally. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Central Texas's most vibrant communities, you will do more than treat communication and swallowing disorders. You will unlock potential, restore confidence, and foster human connection from toddlers experiencing their first words to seniors who are reclaiming their independence.
This role offers a unique opportunity to serve individuals throughout their lifespan in an environment that beautifully combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in pediatric language development, adult neurogenic communication disorders, or geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will find both fulfillment and flexibility in this position.
Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and observational methods.
Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing aspects.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
Provide education to patients and their families to support progress outside clinical sessions.
Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Stay updated on advancements in the field through continuing education and peer collaboration.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
A state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
A preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
Adeptness in evidence-based treatment practices for a diverse age range, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Capability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment paired with effective problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
Competitive compensation reflective of your experience.
Flexible scheduling to promote work-life balance and manage diverse caseloads.
Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
Support for continued education and professional development.
A collaborative, team-oriented environment prioritizing quality care and lifelong learning.
