Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in the Heart of Texas – Join Us as a Clinical Speech Language Pathologist
What if your next career path not only gave voice to purpose but also transformed lives through communication? As a Clinical Speech Language Pathologist in one of Central Texas's most dynamic communities, your role transcends addressing communication and swallowing disorders; it opens doors to potential and fosters meaningful connections. From toddlers mastering their first words to seniors regaining their autonomy, your expertise will touch many lives.
This position offers a rare chance to work with a diverse group of individuals at various stages of life in a balanced setting that combines outpatient care with occasional inpatient responsibilities. If your passion lies in pediatric speech development, adult rehabilitation for communication disorders, or cognitive rehabilitation for older adults, this is where your career aspirations can flourish.
Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients employing standardized assessment tools and observational methods.
Formulate individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language development, fluency enhancement, and swallowing techniques.
Engage in collaborative care with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care approaches.
Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the clinical environment.
Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapies, assuring seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Remain up-to-date with advancements in the speech therapy field via continuing education and peer networking.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for individuals of all ages, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues.
Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities for connecting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Capability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgement complemented by excellent problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and documentation norms.
Competitive salary reflective of experience.
Flexible work schedules to promote work-life harmony and allow for diverse caseload variety.
Opportunities to specialize in pediatric, neurological rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative environment focused on nurturing quality care and continuous learning.
In this role, you'll do more than deliver speech therapy—you'll immerse yourself in a community-centered mission to rekindle voices, enhance communication, and celebrate the profound joy found in the simplest human gestures: understanding and being understood.
Working alongside colleagues who treat one another like family, you'll thrive in an atmosphere that champions collaboration over competition. Each patient comes with a unique narrative; we entrust you with the responsibility of enriching how their stories are shared.
The lifestyle in this part of Central Texas is a delightful blend of innovative energy and warm southern hospitality. Surrounded by the picturesque landscapes of the Hill Country and the soothing flow of the Colorado River, this area appeals to those seeking a perfect mix of nature, culture, and professional growth.
Families gather for music and picnics under the trees, while outdoor enthusiasts traverse limestone trails, kayak in crystal-clear waters, or indulge in the local delicacies of Texas wineries and farmers' markets. Culinary aficionados can appreciate everything from food trucks offering street tacos to James Beard-nominated restaurants putting a fresh twist on beloved classics.
The region pulses with creativity evident in vibrant murals, heard in the tunes of local musicians performing in lively bars, and witnessed at annual festivals that unite individuals from all backgrounds. For career-minded professionals, the benefits extend beyond lifestyle—no state income tax, an affordable cost of living, and an expanding healthcare landscape create an environment where your career can truly thrive.
Whether you're embarking on your professional journey or looking to elevate your career to new heights, you'll find an inviting space for personal and professional development here.
We are in search of a Speech Language Pathologist who is driven by both measurable outcomes and genuine empathy. A professional who sees silence in a child and imagines a future filled with self-expression, who hears the hesitant speech of a stroke survivor and recognizes their indomitable spirit.
You may be an expert in pediatrics eager to expand into adult care—possibly a neuro-focused clinician wishing to integrate early intervention studies into your clinical repertoire.
Whatever your niche may be, if you possess the passion to serve with heart and lead with skill, we are excited to welcome you into our team.
If you believe speech goes beyond mere sound, and therapy transcends standard tasks—if you understand the importance of building trust before tackling objectives, and find joy in communication as much as you do in language—then this could be the next chapter of your professional journey.
Join us in a community that champions communication, connection, and the courage required to start anew. Apply today to lend your voice to our team—and help others discover theirs.
