Assess patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using a variety of standardized tests and observational methods.
Create customized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing goals.
Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions addressing various aspects, including voice, language, fluency, and swallowing difficulties.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
Provide educational resources to patients and families to promote continued progress beyond clinical visits.
Occasionally contribute to inpatient evaluations and therapy, supporting seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
Document all interactions and therapy outcomes promptly and accurately, in line with local and national guidelines.
Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborative learning within the field.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based practices for communication disorders across diverse age groups, with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired challenges.
Exceptional communication skills to foster rapport with patients, families, and a collaborative healthcare team.
Cultural competence to tailor therapeutic approaches to fit the unique needs of each patient.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex clinical scenarios.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation protocols.
