About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Platform Engineering to lead the vision, strategy, and operations of the software and platform technology stacks that support its products. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving platform engineering excellence, particularly in the areas of developer experience, data and AI, security, infrastructure, and reliability. This executive role is pivotal in advancing the company's software-led business transformation and growth, with a focus on delivering AI-enabled experiences to a global customer base. The VP will be expected to lead by example, foster a culture of accountability and innovation, and attract and develop a high-performing team of technology leaders. Collaboration with C-level executives and stakeholders is essential, as is the ability to exemplify a true platform engineering producer-consumer model. Applicants for the Vice President, Platform Engineering position at the company should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a Ph.D. preferred. A minimum of 15 years' of relevant experience in engineering functions, including at least 8 years' in senior management roles, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering business value through engineering excellence, efficiency, and execution-speed improvements. Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, modern cloud-native software architecture, and AI-native software development practices is essential. The role demands exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across the organization.
