Junior Data Scientist / Sr Analyst OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, Data Analytics, and Information Technology. Responsibilities And Duties OCT currently has an opening for a Junior Data Scientist to support an existing federal client with data analysis and predictive model development on the Databricks platform. Day to day responsibilities include: Data cleaning and ETL development with SQL and Python Data analysis using SQL and Python Building pipelines in Databricks Building visualizations with Databricks Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen Minimum B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar Minimum 3 years of professional experience Familiarity with FAIR principles, data governance, and AI ethics Hands-on experience with Databricks features such as Unity Catalog setup, privilege models, and workspace administration required Databricks certifications are preferred Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills Location: Hybrid, with 2 days/week in the McLean, VA office Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Retirement savings 401K plan provided by an industry leading provider with 3% employer contributions of the employee’s gross salary Paid Time Off and Standard Government Holidays Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term disability benefits Training Benefits Salary Range: $80k – $100k commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
