Junior SAP ABAP Developer

The Junior SAP ABAP Developer will design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions to meet business requirements across the SAP landscape. Delivering enhancements, integrations, reports, and forms while ensuring solutions align with development standards. You will also troubleshoot and resolve defects, collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle, and provide support for testing, deployments, and continuous improvement. Scope / Supervision and Interaction Does not have direct reports. Essential Functions Leads directly, or co-leads, complex and/or global digital and IT project tasks delivering business results that meet deadlines; provides guidance to project resources across multiple teams. Analyzes systems, interprets data to identify gaps in technology or processes, and makes recommendations. Assists in the development and implementation of new technologies/services, including communication and reporting to key stakeholders. Communicates decisions and formalizes recommendations impacting area of responsibility. Acts as point of contact for communication and project expectations with third‑party IT and service vendors. Manages own priorities and provides direction, guidance, and mentoring to team members. Delivers multiple solutions while managing conflicting priorities and resources. Conducts knowledge transfer and/or cross training with team members. Encourages team members to provide feedback on ideas that deliver quality solutions. Is available to provide after‑hours technical support as needed. Develops and enhances SAP Smart Forms, SAPscript, and/or Adobe Forms based on functional specifications. Supports form layout changes, branding updates, language variants, and output requirements; creates and maintains ABAP objects supporting forms. Develops ABAP solutions from functional requirements provided by functional consultants. Assists with configuration‑related investigations alongside functional/technical consultants. Produces technical documentation and supports functional documentation as required. Supports unit testing, defect fixing, and assists in UAT and deployment activities. Key Digital and IT Disciplines Application Programming Software Support Database Administration PC Support LAN/WAN Support Help Desk Engineering Systems IT Security Business Systems (MSS, JDE, SAP or similar) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related area (or international equivalent). 4+ years related IT experience. Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills. Strong interpersonal skills, able to relate well with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership aptitude, learning agility, and adaptability. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively. 1‑2 years of experience in SAP ABAP development. Exposure to SAP Smart Forms and SAPscript form technologies with Adobe Forms desirable. Understanding of SAP basics: development lifecycle, transports, debugging, and basic performance considerations. Ability to read and interpret functional specifications and translate them into technical solutions. Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a client‑facing environment.
