Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN)

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking dynamic professionals to join our team as an experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN). The Registered Nurse (RN) is the clinical staff member who has interaction with patients on a daily basis. They present good communication and observation skills as well as the ability to accurately process and document information. The RN provides structure and safety to the milieu environment as directed by hospital and unit procedures and manages patient behavior effectively. The RN develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.

Spring Mountain Behavioral Services has provided mental health services to the Las Vegas community since 2001, treating children, teens, adults and senior adults with behavioral health or addiction issues. We offer a supportive and healthy environment with 24-hour care that allows people of all ages to make positive changes in their lives. Our primary location, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, focuses on the stabilization of acute symptoms for patients age 5 to 65, along with select outpatient care programs for teens. Our secondary location, Spring Mountain Sahara, houses our Adult Outpatient and Senior Adult Inpatient programs.

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110-bed mental health facility that provides acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting. Our individualized treatment includes a structured, therapeutic environment, intensive physician involvement and oversight, and daily group and educational programs. We provide a caring and healthy environment that gives individuals a chance to make positive changes.

Qualifications

Current LCSW in State of Nevada or Ph.D. level Master's degree in social work or equivalent master's degree or greater in a recognized mental health field; experience with age-specific inpatient setting preferred. Five years' experience working with children, adolescents and adults, preferably in a hospital outpatient setting. Must have knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of psychiatric treatment, standards and requirements of all hospital agencies. Experience in taking psychosocial history and case management. Knowledge of developmental psychology of children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults and have the capacity to identify pertinent clinical information via written correspondences and medical records documentation. Knowledge of group therapy theory and practice, group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age specific growth and development, addictions issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management and aggressive behaviors and CPR training. Must have minimum of three years' experience working within a counseling position, two of which should be progressive supervisory and administrative role. Possesses knowledge of clinical issues related to substance abuse patients and their discharge planning. Experience in developing, managing and marketing outpatient programs, specifically Intensive Outpatient Services and Partial Hospitalization Programs. Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations and Policy and Procedures.
