Regional Medical Scientific Director, Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension -- Southwest Territory

Merck seeks a credentialed Regional Medical Scientific Director for cardiopulmonary and pulmonary hypertension in the Southwest US. The role involves building peer relationships with clinical investigators, facilitating scientific discussions, supporting research programs, and representing the company's research division at scientific forums.
Responsibilities
- Identify and establish collaborative relationships with regional scientific leaders and clinical investigators
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions on disease states, unmet medical needs, and therapeutic topics
- Support data generation activities including sponsored trials and investigator-initiated study programs
- Represent research division at scientific meetings and contribute to post-congress reports
- Communicate external stakeholder insights and clinical trends to internal strategic teams
Requirements
- MD, PhD, PharmD, or APP credential relevant to pulmonary hypertension
- Three years clinical or research experience in cardiovascular and pulmonary therapeutic areas
- Three years experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment
- Demonstrated scientific excellence in assigned therapeutic areas
- Residency within Arizona, Nevada, Utah, or New Mexico
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and regulatory standards
