Director, Platform Design & GTM Strategy

Location: Remote or Washington D.C. Compensation: $160K – $200K + Variable Compensation Plan + Equity Who We’re Looking For Seeking a Director of Platform Design & GTM Strategy to engage customers and partners—including capital partners—to shape go‑to‑market strategy, co‑design workflows, drive adoption, and translate real‑world execution into platform evolution. About The Role You will own how the platform is deployed, adopted, and scaled across operating environments. This is a hands‑on role at the intersection of product design, quantitative systems, and GTM execution. You’ll design workflows, GTM motions, and execution playbooks that turn breakthrough risk and bias‑remediation math into durable market adoption. Visa sponsorship is available for top candidates - must be in US. Key Responsibilities Platform‑Led Go‑To‑Market Strategy Design and own how the platform is taken to market through partners. Define GTM motions that function in real operating environments. Diagnose friction across sales, financing, underwriting, and customer trust; redesign workflows to improve speed, clarity, and conversion. Ensure the platform is deployed as core infrastructure, not a bolt‑on tool. Intervene directly when execution breaks and establish repeatable playbooks. Platform Design & UX Leadership Personally design end‑to‑end user experiences and interaction models in Figma. Prototype GTM flows before engineering build‑out. Translate real‑world complexity into clean, confidence‑building UX. Influence roadmap priorities through concrete design artifacts. Design Thinking as an Operating Discipline Apply human‑centered problem framing across diverse stakeholders. Design complete journeys across multiple actors and uncertainty points. Use rapid prototyping to de‑risk execution and align teams. Establish tight feedback loops from real usage into platform design. Balance backend power (AI‑driven risk optimization, loan sizing, regulatory logic) with usability. Internal Leadership & Translation Serve as connective tissue between field insights and platform design. Translate partner feedback into product requirements. Align Product, Engineering, Credit, Operations, and Leadership around priorities. Pressure‑test assumptions with real data and usage. Build and lead a small senior team over time. What It’ll Take to Land an Interview Must‑Haves (100% required): Strong design skills and Figma proficiency. Quantitative background (economics, math, engineering). Top‑tier academic credentials. Fintech experience preferred. Embedded finance/lending experience nice‑to‑have. Exceptional storytelling ability with authentic communication style. Ideal Profile 7+ years in high‑growth startups or scale‑ups. Experience in fintech, embedded finance, infrastructure, or complex platforms. Ownership of GTM execution and adoption. Systems thinking across product, design, and operations. Hands‑on design experience and proficiency in Figma. Comfortable operating with executives while diving into details.
