Responsibilities:

• Deliver and maintain quality customer service by providing friendly and responsive processing and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and shipments
• Sorts incoming mail for distribution and dispatches outgoing mail; opens envelopes by machine or hand
• Research and readdress undeliverable mail (i.e. incorrect or incomplete addresses)
• Examines outgoing mail for appearance and seals envelopes by hand or machine
• Manage/maintain postage machine
• Responds to shipping label requests via email; responds to packaging material requests
• Weighs packages to determine proper postage
• Receive FedEx, UPS and all other deliveries; logging in all tracking numbers into tracking system
• Enter activity data in daily/weekly logs, maintaining all records
• Assists with conference room setup and breakdown
• Assist with building/facility moves
• Acts as second backup to switchboard when needed
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; some higher education preferred
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent training
• Proficiency in Microsoft Products: Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
• Experience in work order systems a bonus, but not required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed; regular and consistent attendance is a must
• Physical requirements include: stopping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads with assistance/Team Lift
• Proactive attitude, and able to remain diplomatic in stressful situations, team oriented with the capacity to build strong working relationships both within the team and external stakeholders
• Ability to learn new skills quickly; flexible and able to juggle multiple and at times competing priorities
• Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Exhibits superior verbal, written, and customer service skills
• Able to maintain confidentiality while working with highly sensitive materials
