We are deeply committed to community involvement, financial education, and creating a workplace where individuals can build meaningful, long‑term careers.Rockland Trust is seeking an experienced CBUD Portfolio Manager to join the Business Banking Portfolio Management team. Using a combination of quantitative tools and traditional credit analysis, the Portfolio Manager employs their commercial credit experience, sound judgement, and pragmatism to administer and manage risk of a large portfolio of C&I and investment real estate relationships with total credit exposures up to $3,000,000.Description:Timely renewal of all loans in assigned portfolio through effective and efficient underwriting, and diligent follow-throughSuccinctly analyze and underwrite renewals, modifications, restructures, etc., balancing the need to mitigate risk and customer satisfactionLeverage data (e.g. line utilization, deposit trends, credit scores, etc.) to identify and mitigate potential/emerging riskAccurately identify and apply credit policies, judiciously recommending approval of reasonable exceptions where the overall credit profile fits within the bank’s risk tolerance, assign risk rates timely and accuratelyCollaborate with customers and/or relationship management team to obtain required financial statements and other informationManage higher risk relationships, facilitate transfers to workout, as necessaryNegotiate with customers to restructure debt or take other actions, to mitigate higher risk creditsWork in partnership with Credit Operations and colleagues to ensure completion of all pre-closing activitiesWork with Loan Operations, as necessary, to ensure data integrity, resolve issuesAssist borrowers with various servicing requests, (release collateral, guarantors, etc.)Review and address key data integrity processes and reportsRepresent the PM team in various technology, process improvement, or other initiatives to improve the speed, efficiency, and operational integrity of the teamRespond to audits, regulatory exams, and other third party reviews.Required Skills:Strong financial analysis skillsAbility to interview customers to develop information concerning their business, needs, abilities and earnings to determine whether the loan is an acceptable risk to RTCPersuasive verbal and written communication skillsAbility to discern risk with limited and/or subtle informationDiligent organization and follow-throughSound judgmentStrong ability to collaborate and negotiate with internal colleagues and customersProficiency with Excel and WordReport writing skillsRequired Experience:Bachelors degree, in Accounting, Finance or Economics highly preferredAt least two years direct experience in a Commercial Lending environment preferredFormal Bank Credit Training desiredBenefits & Culture Our goal is to offer our colleagues the most generous benefits package possible. Pay Transparency Compensation for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, education, and internal equity. The salary range posted reflects the company’s good‑faith estimate of the range for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. In addition to base salary, certain positions may be eligible for additional compensation, including commissions, incentive awards or stipends.
