Koopman Lumber is looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused Paint Department Manager to lead our Paint Department in Sharon, MA.

This is a hands-on sales and leadership role for someone who knows paint, enjoys helping customers, and takes pride in running a successful department. You'll work with homeowners, contractors, and professional painters while overseeing the day-to-day organization, inventory, merchandising, and sales of the department.

Location: Sharon, MA Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $28$32 per hour, based on experience

What You'll Do

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Paint Department
• Help customers select paints, stains, coatings, and project supplies
• Mix, tint, and color-match paint accurately
• Build relationships with homeowners, contractors, and professional painters
• Drive department sales through strong product knowledge and customer service
• Manage inventory, stocking, merchandising, and product displays
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department
• Train and support team members on paint products and procedures
• Support overall store operations as needed

What We're Looking For

• Paint, coatings, hardware, or home improvement experience strongly preferred
• Retail leadership or department management experience preferred
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of the department
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an active retail environment
