Job Details Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Location: Salem, Virginia Start Date: September 14, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770 Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts Schedule: No on-call; weekend rotation included Openings: 2 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license 2 to 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience Completion of 2 to 3 travel nursing assignments preferred Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Department settings preferred Strong team-oriented, flexible, and patient-focused approach Experience with ER patient ratios around 5:1 preferred Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients with a wide range of acuity levels Perform and assist with critical interventions such as RSI, sepsis management, stroke protocols, and tPA administration Support central line placement, behavioral health patient care, and EMTALA transfers as needed Monitor patients closely while maintaining safe and efficient care in a busy ER environment Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and fellow nurses to deliver responsive, high-quality emergency care Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the EMR system Contribute to a respectful, friendly, and team-oriented unit culture Apply now for this rewarding Emergency Room RN travel job in Salem, Virginia, and join a healthcare team committed to excellent patient care.
