Position Summary

Jost Chemical is seeking a detail-driven CAD Designer to join our Engineering team in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll turn engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and 3D models that bring capital projects, facility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements to life-giving you a direct hand in shaping the plant floor our teams work in every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models for structural, process utility, piping, electrical, and facility-related systems.
• Develop construction drawings from engineering specifications, sketches, and field data.
• Review and interpret project specifications and standards.
• Perform field investigations and gather measurements for as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and technical staff on design and drafting needs.
• Maintain CAD drawing files and document control systems.
• Implement drawing revisions and support facility upgrades.
• Support National CAD Standards (NCS) and help develop company-wide drafting standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD Technology or related field.
• Three or more years of industry-related drafting/design experience.
• Experience creating and maintaining 3D models.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform field investigations within a chemical manufacturing facility, work at a computer workstation for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
