We're Hiring a Part-Time Accountant to Join Our Team

We're seeking a talented and motivated Part-Time Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the Director of Finance with daily financial operations and assist with month-end financial statement preparation. This position requires a proactive, tech-savvy team player who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online, including transaction coding, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Enter and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) invoices
• Prepare standard and custom financial reports, such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements
• Maintain and update balance sheet schedules, including depreciation, leases, and prepaids
• Analyze financial statements and explain discrepancies to the Director of Finance
• Monitor the finance team's group email and communicate with third parties as needed
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and other team members as a dependable and communicative team player

Required Qualifications
• • 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting (minimum of 2 professional references required)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills
• Willingness to work in-person 1-2 days per week in the office
• Availability to work 12-15 hours per week , with potential for more depending on workload and time of month

Preferred Qualifications
• • Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting
• Familiarity with Rippling payroll reporting and payroll allocation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 30 USD per hour (HQ)
