CT Technologist Nights

Role Overview The CT Technologist performs high-quality imaging procedures at WMCG, ensuring patient safety and comfort while supporting a collaborative care team. Key Responsibilities Execute CT scans per departmental guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical expertise. Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to maintain quality while minimizing dose (ALARA). Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, reporting issues promptly. Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient identification before exams. Explain procedures clearly using AIDET, addressing patient questions and reducing anxiety. Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort; administer contrast and perform necessary procedures with sterile techniques. Position patients correctly, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization; review images for diagnostic quality. Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, ensure proper study finalization, and handle transfers/retrievals. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and maintain safety equipment. Organize workflow, support department operations, and ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 1 year radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association. Qualifications & Skills: The role requires technical proficiency in CT imaging, strong patient communication, attention to safety and infection control, and the ability to work independently within a team.
