What You ll Do:
Provide expert MFM services at St. Mary s Hospital, covering both outpatient and inpatient settings. You ll care for a diverse patient population with complex pregnancy cases, utilizing advanced ultrasound technology and performing procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurse educators, sonographers, and genetic counselors to deliver comprehensive maternal-fetal health services. This role offers a balanced mix of high-risk pregnancy management and supportive clinical care, making a real difference for mothers and their babies.


Required Skills:

• Board-certified or eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Proven experience managing high-risk pregnancies
• Proficiency in fetal ultrasound and procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS
• Strong clinical judgment and exceptional communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience supervising other healthcare providers
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Advanced skills in managing complex maternal co-morbidities

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program
• Completion of a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship
• Active Virginia medical license or ability to obtain one
• Prior locum or outpatient/inpatient MFM experience highly desirable

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Coverage dates: 05/08-05/15, 05/16-05/22, 05/26-05/31 (flexible open dates)
• Travel costs such as flights, hotels, rental cars, and mileage reimbursed
• Must hold valid certifications and licenses as required by state law
