Remote Associate Attorney

Job Description We are an AV-rated defense firm representing primarily Fortune 50 companies and public entities in litigated personal injury matters, and local businesses in general matters. Candidate may also handle occasional plaintiff personal injury and medical malpractice cases. We are seeking a well-rounded associate attorney to handle files remotely. Candidate will need to travel to our Murrieta office on occasion. This is a great job to learn and expand your civil litigation skills. We offer an excellent opportunity for advancement to the right candidate. Hybrid position. You must be able to occasionally travel to the firm's Murrieta office. Responsibilities Attend and defend depositions Prepare legal motions, briefs, and pleadings Prepare and respond to written discovery Prepare reports for clients on case status Investigating claims, meeting with clients, drafting and responding to written discovery Drafting and opposing motions Taking and defending percipient-witness and expert depositions Court appearances and negotiating with opposing counsel Attend mediation and settlement conferences with clients' claim representatives Qualifications Must be a licensed attorney (State of California) 2-3 years of experience managing litigated cases from start to finish with minimal supervision of a partner preferred, but new admittees to the Bar will be considered Experience with trial preparation preferred Strong communication and writing skills Strong legal knowledge Able to work with firm paralegals and staff Company Description An AV rated boutique law firm focused on meeting the litigation needs of clients in Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.
