Apply now and join the team!Location: Jupiter, FL, USThe role of Assembly Technician I utilizes a moderate level of skill to assemble intricate optical-mechanical and optical-electronic assemblies.Primary Responsibilities Include:Assembly of moderately complex optical-mechanical and optical-electronic assemblies.Knowledgeable in reading optical and mechanical drawings and schematics.Voice improvements and issues affecting the productivity of the team (rework, supplies, equipment, etc)Perform work in Class 5 and/or Class 7 environments.Maintain cleanliness requirements per assembly procedures and department Work InstructionsAssemble kitted parts into complete systems, strictly adhering to Assembly Procedures, applicable Work Instructions, and Assembly Drawings.Measure the element center thickness of screen materials that meet the specification.Measure stacked elements and adjust airspaces to populate EXCEL build sheets.Inspect optics for cosmetic imperfections.Ability to assess that elements being installed meet drawing specifications for surface quality per mil-spec and ISO standards.Experience using various bonding compoundsSecondary Responsibilities Include:Performs all other duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferredBasic knowledge using Word, Excel, Outlook, and other specialty software used in a lab environment.Able to Read/Write EnglishGood interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.Ability to work with all team members in the department and the company-wideAttention to detail.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
