Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Description

Hauser Insurance is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing independent insurance agency in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This position is ideal for someone who understands commercial insurance, enjoys building long-term client relationships, and wants to work in an environment where they can take ownership of their accounts without the bureaucracy of a large corporate agency.

What You’ll Do\n

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for servicing and managing an established book of commercial clients while working closely with agency ownership and our commercial team.

Responsibilities include:

\n

• Manage the day-to-day service needs of commercial clients
\n
• Handle policy changes, endorsements, certificates, billing questions, and coverage requests
\n
• Review policies and renewals for coverage accuracy and potential gaps
\n
• Prepare and manage renewal submissions, applications, and supporting documentation
\n
• Work directly with carrier underwriters to negotiate and facilitate renewals
\n
• Market accounts to our carrier partners when appropriate
\n
• Assist clients with claims questions and advocate for them throughout the process
\n
• Identify opportunities for additional coverage and account rounding
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation within the agency management system
\n
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and carrier partners
\n
• Work collaboratively with producers and other account managers to provide a high level of service
\n

What We’re Looking For\n

We’re looking for someone who can confidently manage commercial accounts and understands that great account management goes beyond processing requests.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous commercial P&C insurance experience
\n
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license
\n
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and policy forms
\n
• Experience working directly with commercial clients and carrier underwriters
\n
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
\n
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, renewals, and deadlines simultaneously
\n
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
\n
• A proactive approach to client service and problem-solving
\n
• Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
\n

Experience with middle-market commercial accounts, habitational risks, contractors, professional offices, restaurants, manufacturers, or similar commercial business is a plus.
