Branch Operations Officer

What You Will Do Advanced Team Leadership Manage & Develop: Manage up to 5 branch employees. Take full ownership of employee schedules, timecard accuracy, and performance evaluations. Provide ongoing operational guidance and training to Client Service and New Account representatives. Branch Support: Manage all client matters seamlessly in the Branch Manager's absence, set team goals, and motivate staff to success. Sales & Business Development Drive Growth: Actively lead the team in implementing sales programs to drive targeted deposit growth. Partner with the Branch Manager on business prospecting and outside calling. Relationship Management: Provide ongoing servicing to current clients to maintain goodwill, generate new business, and meet established profitability goals. Operations & Compliance Excellence Maintain Standards: Stay current with operational procedures, ensuring all branch documentation adheres to internal policies and federal/state banking regulations. Complex Processing: Process complex Daily Large Transaction reports and NSF Exception items by established cutoff times. Approve large transactions for teller staff and provide critical supervisor overrides. Daily Operations & Security: Manage daily operational duties, maintain branch security controls (keys, combinations, security signals, cash limits), and ensure the accurate completion of the Branch Certification package. Customer Experience & Service Perform teller duties, open new accounts, and conduct new account callbacks while delivering a positive, welcoming customer experience. Handle escalated customer service concerns and advise clients on the resolution of account disputes with creativity, tact, and diplomacy. Complete a minimum of 10 compensated CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) volunteer hours annually during business hours. What You Bring Minimum 8 years of banking experience, with at least 4 years in banking operations and 4 years in a supervisory role. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and standard banking programs. Active Notary Public designation is highly preferred.
